If patience is a virtue...

...then virtuous I am not!

I feel like I'm going crazy waiting for things! I just can't seem to settle into the crafting routine when I know I still have things coming. I thought that I would be able to get down to business once the Cuttlebug folders came, and although I did get some cards done, a little part of my mind is always still on the fact that I have things coming in.

I don't mind delays. I really don't - especially when I'm up-to-date. As long as I know what's going on. Marti from Pez-a-Doodle was so good at E-Mailing me and letting me know the status of my order. Even when there was a shipping delay with the supplier, I didn't even mind because I knew what was going on with it. But I haven't heard anything from any of the other sellers I bought from.

Stamp Desires, I placed my order with them a while ago and I only got a notification this past Sunday that they refunded me some of my money because one of the stamp sets that I ordered was not in - and it was the stamp set I REALLY wanted, too! They didn't even write me to ask if there was something else I would want or if I wanted to wait until they got it in. Nothing, just a notice that I was refunded something back.

The Scor-it that I ordered? Absolutely no word from them since I received my receipt from Pay-Pal, and it's still not here! Things that I ordered after buying this have already come in and I have no idea what's going on. I got my Scor-it from ebay so I'm seriously thinking of starting a complaint process or something.

So in conclusion, it's not really the actual waiting that bothers me, it's more the not knowing. I HATE not knowing things more than I hate waiting for things.

So let me think...what are the things I'm waiting for now...

  1. Studio G stamps (I already know they've been shipped and are coming!)
  2. House Mouse stamps
  3. Stickles (I actually still have to pay for these, but no invoice from the seller yet...bad sign since I asked for it early yesterday)
  4. Scor-it (I should have just bit the bullet and gotten from Scor-pal. Seriously regretting it now...)
  5. Cuttlebug embossing folders (from a different seller on ebay)
  6. Grab bag of stamps (impulse buy yesterday after everyone on The Board was talking about receiving theirs)

I seriously have to put myself on a ban...

You're not the 'em-boss' of me...

...So I am quite aware that that title makes no sense whatsoever...my witty banter must be a little weak right now from my recent ebay orders. Ebay is SO this super-scrapper's kryptonite.

Anyways, I have yet to receive the Cuttlebug embossing folders that I ordered a few weeks ago (to be honest, I probably only ordered it last week, but my impatience has warped my mind to believe it was many weeks ago), but I found another ebay seller who was selling the folders for the same price but with a much lower shipping rate AND she also combines shipping. With that deal, I couldn't pass it up, so I ordered five more folders!

Have a peeky-peek:

So once my previously ordered folders come in, I'll also have:

Birds and Swirls
Perfectly Paisley
You
Snowflakes
Heart Blocks
Friend
Floral Fantasy
Stylized Flowers
Swiss Dots

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

E-Mail...

Good Morning!

I just wanted to send you an update on your order.
I spoke with the distributor yesterday and there has been some sort of delay
with their shipping but I was assured the stamps would be going out on
Monday. I will be calling again on Monday to confirm this. I have
never had this problem with them before so I think this was an isolated
incident. These stamps are very hard to keep in stock and usually sell out
before they have arrived here. I hope you accept my sincerest apology for
this delay - this is NOT typically how I operate and I thank you for your
patience. When I print your shipping label you will receive a notice and
you will know your stamps are on their way. If you live outside of the US
I will have to email you manually.

THANK YOU!!!

M

Those who can't create...

...SHOP!

I was so anxious to get home all day today - was putting up whiny posts on the board about how I missed my baby bug and wanted to go home to it. Except that when I got home, I found that I didn't have the creative mojo going. I kind of sat around re-arranging things and making room for other stuff. I STILL feel like I can't get anything done with all the stuff that still hasn't arrived from wherever I ordered them! I'm still waiting on my embossing folders, stickles, stamps and more stamps and my cartridges and my Scor-it! I WANT IT ALL!

Muahahahahaaaaa!

Anyways, after The Mister and I had dinner this evening, I tricked him into going to Michael's with me because I was still thinking about the $1.50 Studio G stamps I had left behind the last time I was there. With Michael's and all the overpricing going on there, there always has to be a priority list in place. So last time, I only got two Studio G stamps, and this time I got all the rest that were available! And I organized them into this:

Dollar store of course!

Look at them all! And I have 25 more of these babies coming! w00t!

This also came in the mail for me today, too! Ordered them off one of my favourite sellers on ebay!

Oh, and these are what the flowers I had ordered off of ebay looked like. I didn't take pictures of the other kinds...maybe later...

Well, no creating done this evening. I've got evening engagements to attend to...hopefully I'll be able to get SOMETHING done tomorrow!

But I sure love all the stuff I got!

Flower power...

...while I definitely don't mean for this blog to be about the things I buy to scrapbook/cardmake, the fact that I'm waiting for a lot of things that will bring my scrapbooking/cardmaking to a whole new level is kind of taking over the actual scrapbooking/cardmaking. Did you follow that?

In any case, it's my blog and I can do what I want, so I'm going to keep talking about all the fun STUFF!!!

I got my first package today - I LOVE getting mail! Just a small one - the faux Prima flowers that I ordered on ebay! I got 200 flowers all together of different sizes and colours that I was able to choose (all for $8!) I can't WAIT to start making things!

I know it's silly of me as I was already making cards BEFORE the Cricut, but now that I know it exists, I feel like I can't make any until I get my Baby Bug! I got my Cuttlebug to keep me distracted, but seeing as how my Michael's sucks and barely carries an A2 embossing folders, I have to wait until my ebay order of embossing folders come. It just seems like I can't make anything really good until all my fun things get here.

I am so excited for the House Mouse stamps. Much coloring will ensue!

I was tempted to post a picture of my flowers...but I'm snuggled up in bed with The Mister and Season Four of Buffy and nothing less than the delivery of my Baby Bug will get me out of bed!

Eventually I'll be able to post some cards and other fun works...or maybe I should just change the title to Confessions of a Scrapping Shopaholic!
