RAKs...

...make the world go 'round.

Whoever said 'it is better to give than to receive' most definitely was on to something. I'm this type of person. While I do like getting presents and RAKs, I always love giving and planning and preparing. I always have ideas popping into my head after the initial idea.

Anyways, last week a Cricut sister posted a message on The Board asking for birthday cards for her little boy who would be turning 6 at the end of this month. She'd said he might have a hard time because his grandpa had recently passed away. Anyways, I made the card and wrote in it and because I had used a wooden piece on the card, I wasn't sure how much postage I would need, so on my lunch, I went over to the Post Office in my local Shoppers. As I was pulling into the parking lot, I glanced over and saw that a Dollarama was in the same plaza so I ducked in there first and grabbed some colouring books (notice the 'u' in my spelling - I'm Canadian!), crayons, puzzles, a yo-yo and candy and thought, well, if I'm going to be sending a birthday card, why not send a little birthday present! I know it wasn't much, but I'm hoping that six-year-old boys are like me, quantity over quality! Hahahaha...

I wish I'd had time to take a picture. I ran out of time over my lunch hour due to the lady working at the post office. I won't even go into detail over our little tiff, but let's just say that I'm fabulous and was the bigger person and I will be going to a different post office in the future.

Hope you have a happy birthday, Hunter!

My oh my! You've been busy shopping and receiving! That was extra sweet of you to buy those goodies for the little boy.

Make sure you use all your "shtuff"

Oh my goodness, I know! I've been amassing so much things and carefully mixing them in with my old things so my hubby doesn't notice that I forget I have them!
